The use of wave soldering

release time:2020-02-18  The number of clicks:2619

Wave soldering is used to solder circuit boards. The wave soldering machine is mainly composed of a conveyor belt, a flux addition area, a preheating area and a wave tin furnace.
The main purpose of the conveyor belt is to send the circuit board to the wave soldering machine, passing through the flux addition area, preheating area, wave tin furnace, etc. along the way.
Flux addition area is mainly composed of infrared sensor and nozzle. The function of the infrared sensor is to detect whether the circuit board enters. If there is a sensor, it will measure the width of the circuit board. The role of flux is to form a protective film on the soldering surface of the circuit board.
The preheating zone provides enough temperature to form a good solder joint. Infrared heating can make the circuit board heated evenly,
In the dual wave soldering system, the shock wave part of the wave prevents leakage soldering, which ensures proper distribution of solder through the circuit board. The solder penetrates through the slit at a relatively high speed, thereby penetrating the narrow gap. The spraying direction is the same as that of the circuit board. The shock wave alone does not properly solder components, it leaves uneven and excess solder on the solder joints, so a second wave is needed.
The second layer of smooth wave eliminates the burr and welding bridge generated by the first shock wave. Smooth waves are actually the same as those used in traditional through-hole plug-in assemblies. Therefore, when the traditional components are welded on a machine, the shock wave can be turned off and the traditional components can be welded with smooth waves.
